Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France

The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is a government-funded research organization under the administrative authority of the French Ministry of Research in charge of research covering all fields of knowledge.

The Institute of Mechanical Engineering of Bordeaux (I2M, 300 employees) is a joint research unit (UMR 5295) under the authority of CNRS, Université Bordeaux 1, Institut Polytechnique de Bordeaux et ENSAM Talence. Main area of research activity of TREFLE, i.e. I2M's department involved in the project will concern heat and mass transfer and fluid mechanics, with particular focus on porous and multi-phase media analysis by multi-scale theoretical, numerical and experimental approaches.

The Institut Jean Lamour (IJL) is associated to CNRS. IJL was created on January 2009 joining 5 laboratories dedicated to Material Sciences and Physics of Materials, bringing together 380 people. The main research activity of the IJL's team involved in SAM.SSA (IJL-ENSTIB) will concern porous solids synthesis, characterization and modelling.
