AIDICO, Technological Institute of Construction in Spain was set up in 1990. Currently, 200 employees. Its aim is to encourage scientific research, technological development and innovation in the construction sector. The R&D department is formed by a multidisciplinary team of PhDs, masters and bachelors of chemists, physics, engineers, architects, geologists, etc., working in the following areas:

  • Cement materials
  • Technologies applied to the Diagnoses of Materials, Structures, Noise and Cultural Heritage Management
  • Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies
  • Sustainable construction
  • New working methods
  • Competitive Intelligence
  • Pyrotechniques and pyrotechnologies
  • Process engineering

Main research area involved in the project will be the Materials Unit, mainly related to the encapsulation of PCMs and the optimization of the pilot scale production.
